Privacy Policy

Last updated October 28, 2026

This covers blackhatfantasy.com (“Black Hat Fantasy”, “BHF”, “we”) and the Black Hat Fantasy browser extension. We collect what we need to run fantasy football tools for you, and nothing else. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use your data for anything unrelated to the service.

Your account

Accounts are handled by Clerk, our sign-in provider. When you sign up we receive your email address, your name if you give one, and an account id. Passwords and social sign-in are handled entirely by Clerk; we never see your password.

The browser extension

The extension only runs on Yahoo Fantasy Football league pages (football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/…). It does two things there:

  • Sync, when you click Sync. It reads your league's pages the way you'd view them yourself: league settings and scoring, team names and standings (record, points, waiver order and budget), rosters, each week's lineups and the schedule. It sends that to your BHF account so our tools can work on your league.
  • BHF columns on Yahoo. On your team, matchup and player-list pages it sends the names, NFL teams and positions of the players in Yahoo's tables to BHF and shows our projections, ranks and matchups next to them. Those player names are used to answer that request and aren't stored.

It does not read your Yahoo password or Yahoo cookies, other websites, or your browsing history. Its only cookie access is your Black Hat Fantasy sign-in, which it reads so that being signed in on blackhatfantasy.com signs you in to the extension too. It keeps one thing in your browser's extension storage: when each league was last synced.

The Ask Mohn chat in the extension's panel works the same as on the site (below).

Leagues you connect

Leagues you sync from Yahoo or connect from Sleeper are stored in your account so the lineup check, waiver wire, power rankings, playoff odds and the coach can use them. Only you can see a league you've connected. Delete it any time from the league's settings on the site; that removes it from our database.

Mohn, the AI coach

Questions you ask the coach, along with the league and player data needed to answer them, are sent to AI model providers through OpenRouter to generate the reply. We keep your conversations in your account so you can scroll back through them, and count questions toward your plan's allowance.

Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We receive whether you've paid and for which plan; your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.

Analytics

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. The extension has no analytics.

Who processes data for us

Clerk (accounts), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Neon (our database), Stripe (payments) and OpenRouter and the AI providers it routes to (the coach). Each gets only what its job needs. We don't share or sell data to anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising, credit or lending decisions, or anything unrelated to fantasy football tools.

Deleting your data

Delete a connected league from its settings page. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email mohnjadden@blackhatfantasy.com from the address on the account and we'll remove it. Uninstalling the extension deletes what it kept in your browser.

Children

Black Hat Fantasy isn't meant for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top. Questions go to mohnjadden@blackhatfantasy.com. Black Hat Fantasy is not affiliated with or endorsed by Yahoo, Sleeper or the NFL.
